Preview of Series Six Part Two

Hello. The BBC has released yet another "Original British Drama" trailer and in it, with many other clips, are some clips for the second half of Doctor Who Series Six. You can watch the clip below:

As you can see, two new clips have been added! The first is Amy battling what is thought to be a Handbot from Episode Ten with a samurai sword and a staff. Madame Vestra anyone? Also, if you look closely, you can see that a man runs behind her. Who is it? Is it Rory? The Doctor? A random man? Who knows, only time will tell.
The second clip is of Craig Owens (James Corden) and the Doctor getting very close. Craig thinks the Doctor is going to kiss him while the Doctor fiddles with the sonic screwdriver. But where are they? It looks like some sort of ship... what about a Cybership? Filming pictures have shown that Cybermats are part of the episode and the Cybermen play a part in the episode too. And what is the Doctor doing? You can post your theories and ideas in the comment box below.

New Doctor Who Books - Paradox Lost

Hello. Three new Doctor Who books are coming out soon, one of which you have heard of in the Doctor Who Items to Buy May Edition. The reviews have been taken from Doctor Who Magazine and you can read them below:

PARADOX LOST
Price: £6.99
Release Date: 23rd June
Written by: George Mann
Featuring: The Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond and Rory Pond

This may be George Mann's first Doctor Who novel, but he's by no means a newcomer to the Doctor's world. He's written audio adventures for Big Finish, and boasts "a complete set of DVDs and shelves bulging with novels and audios." He and the book range's series consultant, Justin Richards, had been circling each other for a while, Mann reveals. "I'd been keen to pitch a Doctor Who novel, and he was aware of my work and wasn't sure how to reach me. It was a mutual friend who finally put us together when she bumped into Justin at a party. One thing led to another and soon enough I was talking to Justin about ideas for a Doctor Who book. "I really wanted to write a story that felt like it was part of the show; that felt like it was an adventure that could have happened on screen, with the same sort of tone, style and humour."

Doctor Who, says Mann, is freeing. "A large part of that is to do with time travel and the way in which it allows you to play with the structure of your narrative. Steven Moffat's Doctor Who makes great use of time travel as part of the structure of the show. It underpins everything, all the major story arcs of the series. Not only is the TARDIS a great tool for the storyteller to get the characters to any time or place in the universe, it also allows you to tell your stories backwards, sideways, or from different perspectives than you can with a traditional, linear novel. I wanted a story that made use of the extra dimension, while still delivering in the monster stakes, too!"

In Paradox Lost, Mann plays with the consequences of the Doctor's travelling through time. "I like the notion that the Doctor and his companions don't always just land in the thick of things and roll up their sleeves - sometimes that approach has consequences and they end up having to put it right...

What's it about?
London 2789: the remains of an ancient android are dredged from the River Thames. When reactivated it has a warning that can only be delivered to a man named 'the Doctor'. The Doctor and his friends must solve a mystery that has spanned over a thousand years...

Sarah Jane Adventures: The Last Episodes

Hello. As you all know, Elisabeth Sladen died recently due to cancer. Sladen played the memorable role of Sarah Jane Smith who travelled with the Doctor for many years until she returned to Earth. After meeting the Doctor many years later, she managed to get her own spin-off show, The Sarah Jane Adventures (SJA). Elisabeth Sladen filmed six episodes of the final series of the Sarah Jane Adventures. These episodes will be broadcast in October this year and their titles have been announced. You can read them below:

Neil Gaiman Interview: Bringing the Old Girl to Life

Hello. In the most recent edition of Doctor Who Magazine, Neil Gaiman was interviewed about bringing the Doctor's closest friend, the TARDIS to life. At this point I would usually put a link to read the interview, however, Doctor Who Magazine does not have a website and so the only thing I can do is tell you to read DWM Issue Number 435 to read the interview and more. Let's start:

So, did you always intend to make the TARDIS flesh in your episode?
It was very upside down. That wasn't the first bit of the idea. I was thinking about The Most Dangerous Game - and it's still an idea I might go back to one day, with the Doctor. The idea of somebody hunting the Doctor, and the idea of going deeper and deeper into the TARDIS. But somebody said to me, "Oh, they're going to do a novel like that." But I still liked the idea of going deeper into the TARDIS, and making the TARDIS dangerous, you have to ask yourself questions. What's made the TARDIS dangerous? The TARDIS' soul is no longer the TARDIS' soul? Okay, so where is the TARDIS' soul? Well it's in somebody. And at that point, that was all I needed to start making a story...
How would you describe the relationship between the Doctor and the TARDIS? In this episode, it almost has touches of a love story...
I don't know that it's a love story. She's the constant. He's been calling her 'old girl' forever. We've known really since The Edge of Destruction - so William Hartnell's third story - that the TARDIS was intelligent. In drafts of the script where we needed Idris to say more, one of the lines she actually sais, she quoted William Hartnell: "The machine is not intelligent as we think it is intelligent..." That has been a constant forever.
Once you gave the TARDIS a voice, how did you approach the portrayal of their relationship?
What I tried to write was something that took us through every spectrum of couple, including, you know, the point where he's saying "You're not my mum," and she's saying, "You're not my child," - that's kind of what they are, there's a little bit of that. And she's also kind of his girlfriend, which Amy picks up on and reacts to. There is no woman in his life who can ever quite compete with the TARDIS. Even, you know that if the Doctor fell in love again, if you got another Madame de Pompadour turning up and she said, "Leave your TARDIS and come live in my little house..." He might do it, but he'd be incredible miserable. And one day he might just walk down to the blue box, open the door and press the button and he'd be off again. Because this is the love of his life, this is the thing he loves doing, and this is where he loves to be. And they are a couple. Not a romantic couple, but she is his best friend and his only constant.
And that's the point you make with the final scenes of the episode.
There are versions of that where it was a much, much longer speech from Amy - especially when it was Episode Eleven last year (The Doctor's Wife was originally scheduled for Matt Smith's first season), and we're heading into The Big Bang, and we think the TARDIS is going to be destroyed - at that point it was very much Amy getting to say,
"I'm one of hundreds of people who have travelled with you. And one day, I will be eaten by a monster or I will go away and get married, something will happen to me and I won't be with you anymore. But the two of you are going to go on till the end of time. It's always going to be a boy and his box." And when I took that line out, which was kind of sad in the first draft, and thought, "Well, hang on, we've moved it to the following season..."
And so I decided to make it more upbeat. And so I decided to make it a bit more upbeat. So, then I wrote the Doctor's response to that, where he says,
"You say that as if it's a bad thing, but it's the best thing there is." And it is, for him. You don't want to see it as a tragedy - this guy of in his box - for him, this is the best thing it could possible be.
To read the interview, read Doctor Who Magazine Issue 435. It is worth £4.50 and you can find the interview on page 32.

A Good Man Goes to War Cliffhanger Breakdown

Hello. A Good Man Goes to War left us with a huge cliffhanger. It wasn't quite like the cliffhanger in The Almost People where we couldn't think of what would happen next but it will have a dramatic effect on the TARDIS Crew. I have broken down the cliffhanger for you all so that you can understand it easier.

As Amy and Rory inspect the cot the Doctor gave them, Commander Strax brings Lorna into the room who warns them that the whole thing was a trap.

The Doctor checks up on Dorium and Madam Vestra. Vestra warns the Doctor that when he is mad, he makes mistakes.

Madam Vestra asks the Doctor whether Melody is human or not. The Doctor seems worried and suddenly nervous. On closer inspection, the Doctor notices that...

...Melody's DNA is human plus Time Lord!

The lights suddenly turn off and everyone looks around. It seems like tha trap is beginning...

The Doctor and Madam Vestra discuss when Melody could have had the Time Lord DNA put into her biological system. The Doctor explains that they weren't actually together in the current universe until their wedding night.

Commander Strax scans Demons Run and says that the only alien species are the Silurians. Lorna then says that the Headless Monks are not recognised as actual aliens.

Meanwhile, a Silurian stands guard. Behind it, a Headless Monk comes closer...

The Doctor is very confused and says that Amy was worried that the baby might have a Time Head. Dorium begins to get worried and says that the clerics gave in too easily. Vestra agrees and they run off to help the others.

Madam Kovarian suddenly appears on a screen. The Doctor and Kovarian begin to talk. She says that there is a war against the Doctor.

The Headless Monks kill the Silurian guards and begin to sing a mysterious prayer.

The TARDIS is engulfed with light. Dorium and Madam Vestra return to the others. Vestra moves towards the light and realises that there is a force field around it.

As the Headless Monks come closer, Rory becomes alert. Lorna tells him that the doors are locking with them inside.

Dorium realises that the prayer the Monks are singing is the Attack Prayer. Rory and Amy go to hide Melody.

The Headless Monk begin to prepare to fight. Rory hides Amy and Melody and runs off to fight.

Dorium tries to convince the Monks to stop fighting. Rory attempts to stop him but Dorium is confident. He probably shouldn't have gone to stop the Monks though...

...he gets his head chopped off! The headless Monks come forward with their laser swords ready to fight to the death.

The Monks come forward about to fight...

Rory arms himself with a sword and a gun.

"The child IS NOT A WEAPON!"
"Give it time. She can be. She will be."
The Doctor becomes angry and tells her that he will never let her near her again. Madam Kovarian tells him that fooling him once was a joy but fooling him twice in the same was was a privilege. The Doctor runs off to help Amy.

Madam Kovarian appears behind Amy on a screen.

The fight begins. Unfortunately, Strax and Lorna are both killed by the Headless Monks.

The Doctor runs to Amy's aid but he doesn't make it in time...

It turns out that Melody was a Flesh Avatar! Amy scream for Rory. The Doctor bursts into the room and finds that the fight is over and that Rory and Amy already know. Rory comforts Strax as the Doctor talks to Lorna before they both die.

Suddenly, River Song appears. The Doctor gets angry at her for not coming sooner and then she gets angry at him and tells him that he's become more of a soldier than a healer as his name indicates. When the Doctor asks her who she is, she tells him. He is astonished and can't believe it. He runs into the TARDIS and leaves Rory and Amy.

Amy becomes angry and asks River what she said to the Doctor. River tells her that in the Gamma Forests (where Lorna came from) they have no word for Pond. The sewing Lorna made for Amy did not read 'Melody Pond' in English. It read...

The 'Doctor, Save Our Souls!' Competition Winner Is...

Hello. A few weeks ago, the 'Doctor, Save Our Souls!' competition began as the blog started. Winning this competition will be recorded on the blog in a new page dedicated to competition winners. I only received two entries for this competition! Tell your family and friends about Time Lord Eleven so that they can participate in competitions as well as read the regular Doctor Who news. As I was saying, I only received two entries, however, one of them was in three parts. I have divided these parts into three separate stories as I will do with any other stories sent in parts. So, the winning entry was...

TERROR OF THE ANGELS
By Jasper Cresdee-Hyde (A.K.A Jazzywazzy)

Congratulations Jasper and commiserations to the other entrants of the competition. You can read the story below:

The red flashing light had been blaring for several minutes - an S.O.S. We all stared at each other, unable to comprehend the scenario. Suddenly, the whole TARDIS groaned and jerked. The lights flickered off completely, however, the crimson siren continued to flash, illuminating our faces. Suddenly, a creature appeared in the TARDIS - a Weeping Angel. They had been monitoring the TARDIS for several months I had realised. The Doctor quickly ushered me and Rory behind him.
"Quickly now, behind me. This isn't a Weeping Angel." The Doctor stated.
"What!? But..." Rory interrupted me swiftly.
"Um, what's a Weeping Angel?" He asked.
"The Lonely Assassin's as I call them. Stone monsters that have been around since the dawn of time- you never see them move and when you're not looking they will send you back in time and feed on the time energy of the life you would have lived. Plus they're pretty creepy!"
"That's why it isn't moving then?"
"Yes. Just don't blink either. Um, I never thought this would happen so I never prepared for it. A Weeping Angel in the TARDIS..."
"You said it wasn't a Weeping Angel!?" I yelled.
"Same thing! Now stand still, both of you!" The Doctor whipped out his trusty sonic and pointed it at the TARDIS console. It seemed to drive itself.
"You can make it do that!" I asked.
"Yeah, doesn't usually work though must just be this incarnation of the old girl." The TARDIS flies through the time vortex at such a speed that the doors fly open. "Grab onto the nearest thing you see! Hold tight!" The Angel slowly inches towards the doors, as Me, Rory and the Doctor watch the TARDIS slowly reach Earth and land. I was breathing heavily. I couldn't resist, I had to look away. And anyway it wouldn't matter because a living organism is still looking at it. I turned around and saw that we were in the attic of a person's house. I heard rushing up the stairs, many footsteps and whirring. The door burst open, and in the doorway was an old woman with brown hair, a dark skinned teenager and an Indian teenager. I stared out the door at these strange people. I just wondered what they must be thinking. I could hear the Doctor talking from behind me.
"Where are we? Please don't say it's somewhere grotty and manky!"
"Um, we're in a house." I yelled.
"Lovely! Who's house? Because I must have been here before otherwise the TARDIS wouldn't have sent us here."
"Doctor." The woman asked.

"Sarah!" The Doctor embraced the woman tightly. "Oh how I have missed you! And look, its Clyde and Rani! How are we today!?" I was completely puzzled, who are are these people? And why do they seem so close to the Doctor?
"Um, not meaning to be rude but, who are you guys?" I asked. Rory rushed out of the TARDIS.
"What's going on? Where are we?" He stammered.
"Amy, Rory, I would like you to meet by old companion, Sarah Jane Smith and her own lovely companions, Rani and Clyde!"
"Hey there! I'm Amy and this is-"
"Rory." He waved shyly.
"So, what brings you here?" Asked Sarah.
"Well, there was a Weeping Angel in the TARDIS and-" The Doctor, Amy and Rory swerved their heads slowly towards the TARDIS. The Weeping Angel had disappeared. "OK." The Doctor whispered. "There is a stone monster let loose in this attic that can snap your neck and send you back in time in the blink of an eye. Be very. Very careful. Don't blink." Sarah, Clyde and Rani slowly back away into the hallway.
"Mr. Smith, scan the house and check that there is no Weeping Angels around to bother us." Sarah said worriedly. A green light came out of Mr. Smith and hovered across the room.
"One alien in this house- Time Lord known as the Doctor."
"Phew!" They all sighed.
"But, where did it go then?" I asked the Doctor.
"Probably teleported off somewhere, still might be on this street though."
"What!" Clyde yelled.
"It's still out there!" Rory shouted." Everybody in the room was looking worried. At least it's not here, I thought. The Doctor indicated to us that we should go out onto the street. We followed.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"To check it's not anywhere near here- we don't want any angel business now do we!" We all entered the street. It was warm but breezy and the sun heavily hung in the sky. "Look out for anything stone that moves although, you won't notice it moving." Me and Rory went off to the left, whilst The Doctor, Sarah, Clyde and Rani went of to the right. I thought I heard a gust of wind quickly pass behind me, but as I turned around nothing was there.
"Amy." Rory said. "Did you just feel something behind you?"
"Yeah, you don't think it's..." I didn't manage to finish the sentence. The Doctor screamed. Me and Rory whipped around to see two Weeping Angels grabbing the Doctor.
"Doctor!" Sarah yelled. Blue electrical currents raced across the Doctor's body, and electrocuted him. But he wasn't sent back in time. I looked puzzled. Instead, the Angels were blown to pieces. Golden energy was released from the Time Lord. I suddenly realised that he must be regenerating.
"No. No I'm, I'm too young! I bet my next incarnation won't even-" He started to regenerate. The energy poured out of every part of his body and flew around the road. I managed to get a glimpse of what the next Doctor would look like. He has black spiky hair, stubbly chin, a long face and a stern look. The process stopped. "-Like bow ties!" The Doctor looked at his outfit. "My ninth never wore this! He wore a black leather jacket! And a bow tie! Really!?" Sarah, Clyde and Rani looked surprised, and worried at the same time.
"But, you look the same as your tenth incarnation!" Rani exclaimed.
"Oh no. Because two angels tried to use their powers on me, and because I'm a Time Lord, the time energy destroyed the angels and caused me to send me back in time in it's own way- I've degenerated!" Everybody looked at the Doctor with confusion.
"What?" I said.
"What?" Rory repeated.
"Well, hopefully it's only temporary because I don't want to be stuck in my tenth incarnation forever!"
"But are the Weeping Angels gone for now?" Clyde asked.
"Well, we don't know for sure but chances are there are. If one was in the TARDIS then when it left it must have summoned help of some sort and then the other one showed up."
"Well, this is great. The Doctor has degenerated and there is a possibility that some neck-snapping time meddling angels are running about!" Rani yelled.
"Now now calm down. Trust me, I'm the Doctor."

"Mr. Smith, we need you for another scan. Scan the area for Weeping Angels. Please, look what they did to the Doctor!" Sarah said. Mr. Smith seemed to turn his computerised eyes to look at the Doctor.
"Oh dear, degeneration I am assuming." It stated.
"Yes. We just need to stop the angels from doing anything else mischievous!"
"Scan complete. Number of Weeping Angels located in the London area- 500,495,722." The Doctor looked severely worried, as did I and the rest of the TARDIS crew.
"What are they planning!? Think Doctor think!"
"Um, why aren't you having spasms?" I asked.
"Who would I be having spasms?"
" 'Cos when I met you you were breathing regeneration energy out and wanting to try all different foods and-"
"Oh that! Because I have already been through this body! Silly!" I didn't know why the Doctor thought I was being silly, I'm not a brainiac like him.

I collapsed. A strange message popped into my head. It was hazy and difficult to make out. It was an image of a Weeping Angel, with a raspy voice coming out of it's mouth.

"The world will be ours!... Sar... NO MORREEE"

I opened my eyes. I felt disorientated, trying to make out what the angel said. Something to do with a sar, they pronounced it 's- air'. Sarah! I thought. 'No more.' Oh my god. They are going to kill Sarah Jane. The Doctor will be distraught. I leaped up and rushed over to Sarah. "Hide. Run. Do something. They are looking for you, they're gonna kill you!" She looked surprised and scared.
"Wha, what are you talking about?"
"The angels. They want to kill you!" It was too late. A Weeping Angel had appeared in the attic. It grabbed Sarah, as she disappeared.
"Nooooooo!!" The Doctor screamed. A gun shot out of Mr. Smith and shot the angel. It exploded into pieces, but it had already got Sarah. "MR. SMITH! SCAN TO CHECK WHERE SARAH HAS GONE!" He was distraught and scared.
"Results- Inconclusive."
"Inconclusive! If Sarah dies in the past then the world will turn upside-down! It will turn into a post-apocalyptic- Oh." A look of realisation spread across his face. "They want to kill Sarah to destroy the world. All of the invasions she stopped will have succeeded. Oh no." The attic shook back and forth. The sky turned from to bright blue to fiery orange. Ash rained down onto the planet. Suddenly the message made sense. They will rule the world because they caused this! "Duck!" The roof of the attic crumbled as the world I knew so well was whisked away so quickly into a living hell. We all shielded ourselves behind desks and chairs. I screamed, as I held Rory's hand for comfort. I acknowledged that I may never do it again. Then we passed out.

I woke up. Dust and debris was littered everywhere. Mr. Smith was destroyed. I looked to my right and saw that most of the house had disappeared. Outside was disgusting. Fire spreading like madness, and in the middle of it all- were 10 Weeping Angels. Standing like kings. It was horrible. I saw the others wake up, except Clyde and Rani had disappeared.
"Doctor..." I muttered.
"Amy... Rory. You're alive!"
"Where are Clyde and Rani?"
"Because Sarah.." He stopped to cough. "Never existed, she never met Clyde Or Rani, and that means Luke won't exist."
"Who's Luke?" Rory asked.
"Doesn't matter. We just need to find away to fix everything. Wait, where is the TARDIS?" I just realised that the TARDIS has been missing for a while. It wasn't here when the angels took Sarah away, but why did nobody notice it? I asked myself.
"I think we need to go and have a talk with those angels over there." I stated. The Doctor looked in that direction.
"Yes. Yes you're right." The Doctor motioned us to follow him down the broken stairs and out into the open. Nobody was around. I expect that they had all been wiped out.
"Wait, if supposedly all the humans were killed in all these alien invasions, then why are we still here? Shouldn't we have drifted away into time?" Said Rory.
"Well you soon will unless I stop the angels. At the moment you are just fragments of time, and because you have absorbed so much time energy, you won't go away quickly, so we have to work fast." The Doctor shut his eyes so he could think about what to do. The fact that sooner or later me and Rory will drift away and will have never existed worried me severely. Maybe the whole planet will drift away. Suddenly the Doctor shouted something out.
"Haha! I've figured it out!"
"Well go on then!"
"Well, we find the TARDIS through the TARDIS key. Then, we use the TARDIS to send the angels back in time and destroy them there, so they wouldn't be alive in the future to kill Sarah!" Me and Rory exchanged glances.
"That's absolutely insane, but it just might work." Rory said.
"Slim chance though." I finished off.
"Well let's go then!" The Doctor brought out the TARDIS key and it began to glow. The TARDIS suddenly appeared around us. "Haha! There you are old girl!" He ran up to the console and started to hug and kiss it. "Oh you're back baby!"
"Um, should we leave you two alone?" Rory jokingly asked.
"OK then." The Doctor replied. He must have took the question seriously.
"Um, it was a-"
"Just leave it Rory." I said.
"Right, back with the plan. A quick teleport should do it." He fiddled with some levers and dials and strangely sniffed one of them, and then it started it's usual whir. The shaking lasted for a couple of seconds, but quickly came to a halt. The Doctor opened the door, and said, "Oh, hello again you evil and terrible beings." There was no reply that I could hear. "Wow. Tough crowd." He moved back a few paces so he was nearer the console. "Now on my command. 3, 2, 1. Blink." Me and Rory did as he said. We opened our eyes and the angels were inside the TARDIS. "Now! Watch the angels Ponds!"  The Doctor raced up to the console and quickly set the course, as me and Rory watched the angels intently. The urge to blink was becoming intense. And I just anted to look away. They were so scary. Their fangs were bared, staring at us with those empty eyes. I was panting.
"Doctor, hurry up!" I screamed worriedly.
"I'm trying my best! The old girl has to find where they sent Sarah!"
"Does it actually matter?" Rory yelled.
"No, it actually doesn't!" The Doctor changed course and quickly played with the other bits and bobs. Then the TARDIS stopped.
"Well, how are we supposed to get them out of here then!?" I asked impatiently.
"Um, that didn't occur to me when I was being a genius. But as long as we destroy them it will work."
"Where are we anyway?"  Asked Rory. We could look away now as the Doctor was concentrating on them.
"Rome! Something B.C!"
"Yes! The Doctor, Amy and Rory and the hot Italians!" I said gleefully. I saw Rory stare at me like I had pulled the cap of the grenade. "I, I was 13 when I wrote it and we started going out when we were 14."
"We just need to know how to kill them. I don't have any guns around here because I don't believe in guns."
"Doctor, you have never shot anybody in your life." I said. He quickly whipped around.
"THIS IS SARAH. JANE. SMITH WE ARE TALKING ABOUT! She is the most important companion I have ever had!" The Doctor was utterly distraught. I had never seen him like this. I suddenly realised the urgency of the situation. The Doctor grabbed the physic paper and started to scribble things down.
"Doctor, what are you-"
"I'm saving her life." He said bluntly. He stopped and slammed down the paper. In the distance I could hear chanting, and running. I looked out the doors and saw hundreds of Romans racing towards the TARDIS. They shot arrows blazing with flames at the TARDIS. Suddenly I understood the Doctor's plan. He summoned the Romans through the physic paper and told them to destroy the angels. And they were obeying. The angels were slowly burning away- as the Doctor watched with content. He was enjoying this. This wasn't the Doctor I was used to. It worried me. Rory had been silent for ages. I guessed he was having the same feelings as me. I heard the Doctor silently whisper the words, "Die. Die Die!" The angels crumbled away into dust. Time was fixed.

The Doctor sat by the hospital bed. Sarah Jane was lying there, unconscious. Also surrounded were me, Rory, Clyde, Rani and her son Luke. Time had been fixed, but the effects were too much on her. She had collapsed and was dying. The Doctor's happiness only lasted a few minutes after we left Rome, when he found out that Sarah was close to death.
"Sarah. Please wake up. Please!" She weakly turned her head to face him.
"Doctor. The mad mad man in that old blue box. Running around, getting yourself into trouble in that old blue box. I'll never forget it. I'll never forget you. You were the most important person in my life. I was so lucky to have you. And you three." She was talking about Luke, Clyde and Rani. "Oh how I love you three. How many invasions have we stopped together? Add this one to the pile. Amy and Rory, even though I only met you today, I can tell that the Doctor is lucky to have you both. You are a great couple and great companions. I'll always watch over you Doctor. Whenever the future is bleak I will be there. Nothing will ever make you fall. I guarantee that you will win every single battle ever. Because you are the oncoming storm. I love you." The Doctor was crying.
"Sarah, don't go! I love you!" Sarah didn't reply. The monitor showed a straight line. I started to cry. Rory held me. Whatever her and the Doctor did together, it made a huge impact on his life.

"Goodbye. Sarah Jane Smith."

The final words the Doctor will ever speak to her. Companions come and go, but this one stayed for much longer.

Ten More Hints For A Good Man Goes to War

Hello. Digital Spy has released yet another ten teasers for the mid-series finale, A Good Man Goes to War. There have already been a lot of hints for the episode from CultBox and The Gallifrey Times, but the more teasers the better! You can take a look below:

1. Remember not to interact with the headless monks (without divine permission)
(Are these the strange figures with the hoods and laser swords?)

2. "Oh turn it off. I'm breaking in, not out!"

3. The Doctor calls on favours from a number of familiar faces

(Could it be some of the aliens? Another hint said the Doctor asked a favour from a Sontaran.)

4. "They don't put up a balloon or anything!"

5. A line from a previous episode takes on a new significance.

6. "****** ******** is a geography teacher, ****** **** is a superhero"

(This could be Melody Williams and Melody Pond as they both fit into the spaces.)

7. Sontarans can produce a tasty drink.

8. Rory: "That's probably enough ******* now"

(Dancing? Looking? Weeping? Who knows.)

9. River Song's true identity is revealed in the episode's final moments.

10. The (frankly brilliant) title to episode eight is revealed before the end credits roll.

(We already know that this is called Let's Kill Hitler.)

21 More Hints For A Good Man Goes to War

Hello. The Gallifrey Times has released another batch of hints for A Good Man Goes to War. They're very interesting and worth a look. Here we go:

1. It is amazing – a true five-star episode

2. There are lots of spaceships – and that’s just in the teaser

3. There is a very Star Wars feel (The Empire Strikes Back especially) even down to the shape of the windows and the music

4. It’s action-packed and feels so much more epic than a usual single parter

5. There are lots of suprise guests stars (and some will be a surprise) but unlike in “The Pandorica Opens” none of them feels wasted – they all have a chance to shine…

6. …Apart from one maybe

7. It cracks along at a hell of a pace

8. There are some revelations that really will make your jaw drop

9. There is a terrific battle scene at the end (which more than makes up for a slightly underwhelming and confusingly directed one in the first half)

10. Although there’s lots of time travelling, it’s not a timey-whimey-reliant plot.

11. The Doctor produces something very revealing from the TARDIS

12. Rory says something very funny to an old enemy that you can’t believe has never been said before

13. It’s a great episode for both Rory and Amy (and Matt Smith is as brilliant as ever, especially in a sudden, unexpected emotional moment)

14. A throwaway line from last season becomes a major plot device

15. Somebody is asked to make a donation

16. Somebody very unexpected is playing doctors and nurses

17. We get to see somebody’s muff

18. Rory is definitely cool

19. Look carefully at the monitor screens…

20. …And the corridors

21. And please, please, please, if anyone has leaked the title for the next episode onto the internet, avoid the temptation to check it out. When the caption comes up at the end, “The Doctor Will Be Back In…” it was so unexpected and made us grin so much, we’d hate you to miss having the same experience…

Who Review 002 - Day of the Moon

Hello. Before I begin, I would like to thank you all for reading the blog! It has reached over 1200 views! Thank you all! This is the Who Review 002: Day of the Moon. Who Reviews are exclusive to Time Lord Eleven and will be coming up in the future: episode reviews, book reviews and game review will all be covered.

Doctor Who, Series Six started with an Impossible Astronaut and it continued with the Day of the Moon. The episode was, in my opinion, a complete success. It was filled with action, humour and character relations grew. And, of course, the Silence was forgotten again. From Greystark Hall to Area 51, Day of the Moon had great settings and layouts. The sets were very impressive and with a limited budget, it seems even more brilliant. The episode gave us: Amy and Rory being shot,River jumping off a giant building, the perfect prison, Madam Kovarian's first appearance and a showdown in the Lodger TARDIS. To start off, here's the official synopsis:
The Doctor is locked in the perfect prison while Amy, Rory and River Song are being hunted down across America by the FBI, as the time-travelling adventure series continues.

With the help of new friend and FBI-insider Canton Everett Delaware the Third, our heroes are reunited to share their discoveries, if not their memories. The world is occupied by an alien force that controls humanity through post-hypnotic suggestion, and no one can be trusted.
Aided by President Nixon and Neil Armstrong's foot, the Doctor must mount a revolution to drive out the enemy and rescue the missing little girl. No one knows why they took her. Or why they have kidnapped Amy Pond...
The episode starts with Amy running across the Utah Desert from black cars and men in suits. As she does so, some beautiful shots of the landscape are taken and this is what makes Doctor Who unique. If they want to do something and go somewhere, they do that. Anyway, Amy runs across the Desert as the cars gain on her. Suddenly, the ground falls steeply and she stops. The cars crowd around her. Canton Everett Delaware the Third gets out and walks towards her. Amy tries to convince him to change his perspective but he doesn't listen. Then, a flashback of the warehouse is shown. In the flashback, Rory and River escape from the Silence, Canton wakes up and they run away from the Astronaut. Canton then forgets that the Silence is attacking them and the flashback ends. The thing I would like to know is how did Canton become unconscious and why did Canton not remember what happened in the warehouse? After it ends, Canton raises his gun. From a distance, we see that Amy is shot. The scene changes to Area 51. We see the Doctor chained up to a chair in a straight jacket. Canton comes along and informs him that they found Amy Pond. He also says that she had strange markings on his arm and he asks why they were there. The Doctor does not tell him and Canton walks away.

The scene changes again to a building in New York where we see River in a party dress walking on the roof. Two Silents come to her and she draws on her arm with a pen. Then, Canton calls out her name. She turns and forgets the Silence. She is noticed by Canton and she runs away to the roof edge. Canton and the other black-suited men crowd around her. She tells them that America has been invaded. Then, after some dialogue, she falls backwards off of the building. The men walk away. Back in Area 51, Canton comes back to the Doctor and tells him that River jumped off of a building. Black blocks are forming around the Doctor, sealing him off. Canton explains that he will be cut off from the rest of the universe. The Doctor says it still won't be enough.

The scene changes yet again to Rory running out of a building and sprinting across a dam. He is then surrounded by Canton's men and he stops. After talking, Canton shoots him too. Back at Area 51, two body bags are dragged into the block prison and the Doctor seems very sad. After the door closes, Amy and Rory break out of the body bags and the Doctor takes off the chains. They all go into the TARDIS as the Doctor says to Amy and Rory to open all the doors to the swimming pool. River falls right through and lands safely in the water. They all discuss what they found out which is practically nothing. They then land next to a giant shuttle. River asks if they would be using Apollo 11 as a secret weapon and the Doctor says that that was a silly idea. He then says that they would be using Neil Armstrong's foot.

(Three paragraphs for six minutes of fast-paced excitement - I did say it was action-packed!)

Outside Greystark Hall, a black car parks in the grounds.Inside is Canton and Amy, dressed formally like inspectors. A flashback of the TARDIS begins. Inside the TARDIS, the Doctor and Amy talk about her announcing her pregnancy. She says that she was wrong and that she isn't pregnant. When Rory tries to ask what's going on, she says that there's nothing. Canton moves the subject on and says that they have all seen the Silence. River points out that he has as well but he forgot what happened. They have seen hundreds of them across America but they can't even remember what they look like. Rory then says that they edit themselves out of your memory as soon as you look away. Amy then confirms that the tally marks were to count how many Silents they had seen. They have spent three months trying to figure out what they are doing and how long they had been on Earth. The Doctor then says that they're not fighting an alien invasion. They're actually leading a revolution against the Silence. The Doctor injects things into each of his companions' hands. He explains that they are nano-recorders. If you see a flashing light, you have recorded a message for yourself when you have seen a Silent and forgotten it.

Canton looks behind him and then straightens the Doctor's bowtie. The four others are staring at him oddly. River tels him to look at his hand. He does and it is flashing. He replays the message. It says:
"My God, how did it get in here!"
"Keep eye-contact with it and turn back when I tell you to. When you do, I want you to straighten my bowtie."
Canton turns back again. A Silent is in the TARDIS! But don't worry! It's only a projection from the picture Amy took of the Silent in the bathroom! As soon as the projection disappears, no one can remember what it looks like. They then realise that the Silence uses post-hypnotic suggestion instead of doing things themselves. The subject changes to where they got the little girl from. They discover that the little girl must have come from an orphanage somewhere in America. The flashback ends and the door to Greystark Hall opens, revealing Amy and Canton outside in the rain. A man is inside and seems peculiar. They are let inside. Greystark Hall is huge and has many flights of stairs. Writing in a liquid that looks suspiciously like blood stains the wall saying "GET OUT!" When the man tries to wash it off, we can see that it is written on his wrist and so it must have been him that wrote the messages, not any of the children. Greystark Hall appears to be abandoned as there are no children and the atmosphere is eerie. Canton says that Greystark Hall was meant to be closed in 1967 so they almost didn't come. The man says that that is the plan and he thinks it isn't. Something is clearly wrong with him. Amy decides to check upstairs whilst Canton goes to the man's office. And it's from here that things take a turn for the worse.

Upstairs, Amy goes into a room and looks around. The door swings shut behind her. When she tries to open the door, she has marks on her hand and her hand is flashing. She replays the message:
"I can see them but I think they're asleep. Get out. Just GET OUT!"
Amy seems more cautious and alert. She runs to the window and tries to open it. She notices more marks on her hand and suddenly she has lots on her face. Slowly, she looks up. Hundreds of Silents are on the ceiling! She gasps and slowly walks towards the door. She bangs into a metallic object and startles the dormant Silents. She reaches for her hand but before she presses it, the door swings open again. She forgets the whole incident and walks out. Little does she know that she is being watched by a Silent...

The scene changes to the Doctor at NASA. He has been caught as he was meddling with Apollo 11. Nixon comes in and gives a speech to the men about how they had been given a great responsibility and he manages to convince them to release him. Rory then breaks a bit off of a sculpture and walks off quickly. One of the episode's funny bits.

In the man's office, Canton and the man are talking. The man says that the child must be looked after as it is important. He says that 'they' told him to do it. When Canton asks who, the man cannot remember. Sounds familiar to anyone? The scene cuts to Amy walking down a dark corridor (which can only mean bad news). When she reaches a door, a hatch opens up and a head pops out - Madam Kovarian. Behind her is only white light. Amy tries to talk to her but Kovarian turns to another person in the room and says:
"No, I think she's just dreaming."
Very strange. The hatch closes and Amy opens the door. Inside, there is no white light and there is no hatch in the wall. The woman has disappeared too. Amy walks over to a bed-side table and looks at the photos that are there. They show a little girl when she is quite young. Then, behind some other pictures, she finds a photo of herself and a baby. She is shocked and can't believe it is her. After a while, heavy footsteps are heard. The astronaut walks into the room. The little girl lifts the visor and we can see that a bullet hole has shattered the glass but has not hit her.Amy says that she's sorry and she didn't mean to shoot her. She says that the little girl will kill the Doctor and she doesn't understand. The little girl cries for help. Two Silents come around Amy. She screams.

Back in the office, the door opens slightly. The man walks over and answers it. When Canton asks who it was, the man cannot remember. A Silent walks into the room. After confronting the Silent, we hear Amy screaming. Canton shoots the Silent and runs to Amy. Back in the Oval Office, the Doctor tells nixon to record evert message. The three of them travel in the TARDIS to get to Amy. Amy can't see. We then see the little girl and she has escaped from the suit. Amy is not in the room and her voice is still heard. Her nano-recorder is on the floor. The astronaut suit is empty. The Doctor finds out that the message is live and it is happening now. The man comes into the room and says someone has been shot but then he forgets what happened. The Doctor runs into the room and sees the Silent on the floor. The Doctor asks what it is and the Silent replies with its name. The Doctor is shocked and surprised. Back in Area 51, the prison opens and Canton walks out. He has 'been in there for days'. Canton asks for a doctor and Nixon walks out. President Nixon gives them a speech to convince them too. A TV shows that Apollo 11 is starting.

River realises that the astronaut suit was an exo-skeleton and it was a life support. She realises what has happened and tells the Doctor. The Doctor tries to figure out what has happened with the envelope but he can't. The Doctor asks if the girl is still alive and they try to figure out where Any is. River realises that the little girl forced her way out of the suit. Then, the Doctor discovers that the Silence are parasites and he finds out that the Silence influenced the Moon landing because they needed a space suit. Inside the prison, a doctor is trying to help the Silent but he turns away and forgets it all. The Silent says that Canton tended to his wounds. The Silent then makes a terrible mistake and says:
"You should kill us all on sight."
Canton recorded the message and the Doctor receives it. Amy is still scared and frightened. The suit is fixing itself and it is possible to move on its own. River points out that the girl had said that the spaceman had come to eat her and maybe that's exactly what happened. Amy starts to talk directly to someone. She says that she loves them and so we think it's Rory and he starts to look hopeful but then Amy says that 'you fell out of the sky' and so he thinks that she is talking about the Doctor. He becomes sadder. The Doctor comes over and they talk. Rory tries to convince him to save her but he shows why he can't. Rory says that he can remember the 2000 years of waiting for Amy but he doesn't always remember. The Doctor stands up and walks away.

The next scene shows Americans across the country including the Oval Office and a bar turning on televisions to watch the Moon landing.

A dark room. Bright lights. A room full of Silents. Amy Pond kidnapped. Amy is chained to a chair as the Silents walk around their TARDIS. A Silent is staring at her and is leaning over her. The Silent tells her that they honour her and that she will bring the Silence (not exactly a great thing to say to someone who's already scared and chained up). It then says that her part will soon be over and that she has been there for many days. Amy doesn't believe this and tries to argue with the Silent. It tells her to sleep... sleep... sleep and she tries to resist but it's difficult. Suddenly, the TARDIS appears and the Doctor, River and Rory come out. The Doctor recgonises the
TARDIS from The Lodger and makes a reference to it. He brigns a TV out of the TARDIS and turns it on. It shows the Apollo 11 Moon landing. At the worst time possible, the Doctor and River start to flirt. The Time Lord tries to convince the Silence to leave but he's lying and he says that he won't let them leave that easily. The Doctor tries to ask the Silence questions but they don't respond. He tells them that half a billion people are watching it. He then says that everyone in the world will look back and remember that moment. The Doctor then phones Canton and the former FBI agent puts the video phone on which he recorded the Silent against a piece of machinery. As Neil Armstrong says:
"It's on small step for man-"
A Silent appears on the screen and it says:
"You should kill us all on sight."
Everyone watching it remembers the Silent saying it and so they have built an army against themselves. The Silence become angry and attack. A great showdown begins! River shoots the Silence and the Doctor zaps them with the sonic screwdriver. Rory tries to help amy escape and he realises that Amy was talking about him when she had been talking. The Doctor manages to free Amy and they climb into the TARDIS. River continues to shoot the Silence and they all die. The Doctor helps and zaps some of them. Luckily, all of the Silents die. River and the Doctor climb into the TARDIS.

They all escape the Silence, drop Canton off and say goodbye to President Nixon. They go into the TARDIS and drop River off at Stormcage. As the Doctor is leaving, she kisses him for a good 12 seconds! The Doctor says there's a first time for everything and River also says that there's a last time too. Inside the TARDIS, the Doctor tells Rory to go and get some things for him. The Doctor and Amy talk about what happened. She says she can't remember much. They discuss the matter of her being pregnant and then not pregnant. Rory is listening in using the nano-recorder so he can hear everything. Amy then shouts to Rory and he knows he's been caught. He walks up and Amy is sorry. The Doctor scans They fly away for another adventure.

Six months later, in America, the little girl is roaming the streets. She is dying. She meets another poor person and says that she can't live any longer. She knows how to sort it out though. The little girl begins to regenerate...

Day of the Moon was extremly good and complicated (as you can see - I just wrote 15 paragraphs for 45 minutes!) The action was incredible and I loved it. It was much better than the Impossible Astronaut and it had more excitement, action and brilliance. The little girl's regeneration was very surprising; I couldn't believe it was happening and I only got to grips with it a few weeks later. The character relations grew and, of course, the showdown at the end was classic Who. I loved it all, definitely a 5/5 rating for me.

Finally (I've bored you long enough) there has to be some credit given to: the writer and the director. The episode was the best that Steven Moffat has written and, in my opinion, the best episode of revived Doctor Who. Also, the shots taken in the desert, at the dam and all shots in general were magnificent. I loved the whole episode and it left us with even more mysteries before...

Episode Seven Teasers

Hello. A Good Man Goes to War is only 3 days away and some hints have been released from CultBox and The Gallifrey Times. Some of these hints we already know as we have seen them in the trailer and the Prequel. Anyway, the first few are interesting and some of them reveal things that we haven't seen in pictures or trailers. So here they are:
  1. The Sontarans, Judoon, Silurians and Cybermen are all back.Simon Fisher-Becker returns as big blue Dorium Maldavar, last seen with River Song in 'The Pandorica Opens'.
  2. Karen Gillan has told Radio Times that "we discover who River Song really is" and "it's such a huge pay-off, I didn't see it coming."
  3. Rory's Roman costume returns.
  4. Frances Barber has told Total TV Guide that 'eye patch lady' Madame Kovarian is "involved in Amy's pregnancy - before and after the birth - and is in charge of a band of soldiers".
  5. The Sunday Times reveals that Amy's baby is named Melody.
  6. There's "a sort of Nazi state", according to guest star Charlie Baker, who also describes the story as "one of the darkest episodes ever".
  7. Catrin Stewart plays a character named Jenny. It's unknown if this is a regenerated incarnation of the 'Doctor's daughter' from Series 4, but - with a major character named Jen in the previous two-part story - it seems an unusual name choice if it's not her.
  8. The episode is "more disturbing than scary", according to Karen Gillan.
  9. Director Peter Hoar has summarised the episode as "a bit of a rollercoaster ride through all different times, space, everything".
  10. Hugh Bonneville is rumoured to return as 'The Curse Of The Black Spot''s Henry Avery, alongside Oscar Lloyd as Avery's son Toby.
  11. Part of the story is set in Jack the Ripper era London.
  12. Rivers's True Identity is revealed in the last seconds of the show!
  13. The Doctor asks a Sontaran a favor.
  14. The Cybermen turn up but don't play a huge part in the episode
  15. One character looses his head!
  16. Something big happens to Madame Korivan
  17. River sits in her Stormcage and talks to somebody
  18. "WHERE IS MY WIFE?"
  19. 2 characters are called Fat One & Thin One!
  20. The Sontarans and Silurians battle!
  21. Frances Barber plays a rather panto-style character!
