Declaring War

Hello. It is with greatest sadness that I announce war on the asteroid of Demons Run. Amelia Pond has been kidnapped. She has given birth to a child named Melody and the child has been taken away from her. It is only a matter of time before the Doctor travels to Demons Run with Amelia's husband Rory to take her back. It is only a matter of time before River Song escapes from her cell in Stormcage and tells the Doctor her identity. It is only a matter of time before the Battle of Demons Run will begin...

Yes, today is the day of the Battle of Demons Run! In this episode we will discover the identity of River Song, who Madam Kovarian is and who the hooded figures are. We see why the Doctor and Rory are creating an army and we see the Doctor venture into battle...

After the episode, a poll will be added for you to vote on what you thought of the episode. I will also be announcing the results for the previous poll for the Almost People. Here is a list of A Good Man Goes to War related articles that you can read to prepare yourself for the epic war to come:

A Good Man Goes to War Trailer Breakdown

Hello. The trailer for A Good Man Goes to War has been released on the official Doctor Who website. You can see it here, but in the mean time, I will post a breakdown of the trailer here. WARNING! Contains spoilers! Do not read if you have not watched the Almost People and you do not know what the cliffhanger leading into A Good Man Goes to War is.

River Song in her cell in Stormcage.
"This is the day he finds out who I am."

Someone talks to the Doctor and he looks worried.
"My friend, you have never risen higher."

A group of soldiers (UNIT? The Army?) are being briefed by a soldier.

"On this day, in this place..."

"...The Doctor will fall!"
Madam Kovarian walks down a piped corridor with soldiers running behind her.

The Cybermen confront someone - Rory the Roman? The Doctor? The background looks similar to the promotional picture released a while ago for the mid-series finale.

Someone running away from green lasers. To me, it looks like Captain Avery without a hat, as he is confirmed to appear.

The Doctor runs down a corridor quickly; is he being pursued or is he running to something or someone?

Rory asks someone (Madam Kovarian?) an important question.
"Where is my wife?"

A battleship in the sky with a large asteroid behind it. Is it the asteroid of Demons Run?

The hooded figures from the Prequel have laser swords? That can't be good news.

Rory begins to fight someone - the hooded figures?

The colonel shouts loudly. What has gone wrong?

The Doctor spins round in a circle like an aeroplane. Random...

Amy holds her baby tightly.

The Doctor is very angry.
"The child is not a weapon!"

Madam Kovarian responds on a hologram.
"She will be."

Amy screams Rory's name desperately. He turns to hear the voice.

The trailer ends there.

A Good Man Goes to War Prequel Released

Hello. The Almost People left us with a giant cliffhanger (of which an analysis will be posted) for next week's episode - where is Amy? Who is Madam Kovarian? And will the Doctor and Rory find Amy? We will all find out next Saturday at 6:45pm. In the meantime, the new Prequel for the mid-series finale. It involves Dorium, the blue-skinned alien from the Pandorica Opens giving the brain of a Judoon to some hooded figures (members of Demons Run?) who want to imprison a little child... could it be the Doctor's? Maybe, but it could as easily be Amy's. To watch the Prequel, click here.
The synopsis of A Good Man Goes to War may hold some clues, so here it is:
Amy Pond has been kidnapped and the Doctor is raising an army to rescue her as the drama continues. But as he and Rory race across galaxies, calling in long-held debts and solemnly given promises, his enemies are laying a carefully concealed trap.
In her cell in Stormcage, River Song sadly acknowledges that the time has come at last – today will mark the Battle of Demons Run and the Doctor’s darkest hour. Both sides will make their sacrifices and River Song must finally reveal her most closely guarded secret to the Doctor.
I can't see anything there, but maybe you can. Finally, the Fourth Dimension has no new clues. Nothing. What has happened? We will find out in time.

Episode 5, 6 and 7 Synopses

Hello again. The synopsis has been released for Episode Seven, A Good Man Goes to War. Since there are still episode five and six to watch before we see the Spring finale, the synopsis of the Rebel Flesh and the Almost People are below too.

EPISODE FIVE - THE REBEL FLESH
A solar tsunami sends the TARDIS hurtling towards a futuristic factory on Earth, where human doppelgangers are used to mine dangerous acid, as the time-travelling adventures continue.
A second wave hits and the “Gangers” separate. They can remember every second of their “original’s” life and feel every emotion they’ve ever experienced. But are these memories stolen or have they been bequeathed? Are the Gangers merely faulty machinery that must be shut down or are they living, breathing, sentient beings? Can the Doctor convince the terrified humans to accept these “almost people” and prevent an all-out civil war before the factory explodes?
EPISODE SIX - THE ALMOST PEOPLE
As the solar storm rages, Jennifer, a Ganger driven mad by the memories of being “decommissioned”, is seeking revenge, as the time-travelling drama continues.
She can remember every excruciating second of every “execution” and is determined that the humans will pay. And she isn’t just talking war; she’s talking revolution. As the crumbling factory fills with toxic fumes and drips lethal acid, the “Originals” wait desperately for the shuttle from the Mainland to rescue them. But Jennifer has other ideas.
Can the Doctor convince the terrified factory workers to embrace their own humanity and work together with their Gangers to overcome a monster of their own making?
EPISODE SEVEN - A GOOD MAN GOES TO WAR
Amy Pond has been kidnapped and the Doctor is raising an army to rescue her as the drama continues. But as he and Rory race across galaxies, calling in long-held debts and solemnly given promises, his enemies are laying a carefully concealed trap.
In her cell in Stormcage, River Song sadly acknowledges that the time has come at last – today will mark the Battle of Demons Run and the Doctor’s darkest hour. Both sides will make their sacrifices and River Song must finally reveal her most closely guarded secret to the Doctor.
